It was a nature's war zone and I wasn’t at the top. Then I noticed an old abandoned fire station, and rushed in. I needed a plan to get into the stronghold and I needed rest to think of one. I remembered that all fire stations have a basement reservoirs in case of emergency and that would be easy to defend. It has only one way in and out and it was made of solid steel, just need to pump out any remaining water and I would be safe in there. But I still had one major problem, I needed food.

Desperately I scavenged thru the fire station but I found nothing. Maybe I will try tomorrow, for now I need to rest. I slept like a little child for the first time in ages. I don’t know was it because I was free and near my daughter but I woke up feeling pretty well. Gu10 still hasn’t got me. I stepped out into the cold morning air in New York. I recognized the surroundings, I was in Hoboken. This was good news because my old friend used to live here so I know the hood. Since the sun was out I could see the destruction around me in detail. I was appalled.

There were graffiti all around cursing the Gu10, but surprisingly enough no sound of any type. No people, no animals no nothing. There was just a protocol Gu10 logo on one of the signs showing the route to the stronghold. My stomach growled reminding me that I must find some food fast.
