This latest album from our own PJ Harvey has come in at number 47 on Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2011 list, and I think it's fair to say it deserves its place there.
In fact, 'Let England Shake' was named 'Album Of The Year' by 12 different publications, but most impressively, it won Uncut Music Award in November, and then the much-coveted Mercury Music Prize in September this year. PJ Harvey has been nominated for the award four times and won before in 2001, which means she is now the most successful artist in the Mercury Prize's history.

This is Polly Jean Harvey's tenth studio album, and was a long time coming, written over two and a half years. It was recorded in a church in Dorset in April and May of 2010.
I don't have this album yet, but it's definitely on its way to the music folder of my r4 card now, it certainly seems to have done well!
